Octopus HACCP has clearly simplified my daily life: less paperwork (no more tedious readings, no more ticking boxes on tons of unnecessary paperwork) and, most importantly, no more "STORING LABELS." More time in the kitchen. Connected probes will be useful and practical in 2026.

I've been using the Octopus hygiene app for a while now and I'm really very happy with it. The tool is simple, clear, and very well designed for tracking hygiene and inspections.
Everything is centralized, the reminders are convenient, and the app saves a huge amount of time every day.

We are very satisfied with the Octopus software. We use it on a tablet for our kitchen at our senior living facility. The application is intuitive and practical for all tasks related to hygiene, dining room service, delivery, traceability, etc. The platform offered us video training as well as additional explanations during the latest updates.

Excellent application! Very practical for monitoring food traceability in daycares. The interface is clear, intuitive, and saves valuable time on a daily basis. The cleaning plan management module is also a real plus: simple to use and reassuring to ensure hygiene. The support team is responsive and attentive. Sadly we needed to close our account, but Jérémie Lockel in Costumer support is a star within client service... In spite me wanting to close my account, he listened to our needs for now, didn't try to convince me otherwise and spent a lot of time to talk and send me an email with guidance to how to cancel the subscription... We will return to open an account if we need the service again.

Do I need to take photos of all my products?
Regulations related to the HACCP method require that traceability information be kept for all products with a use-by date or best-before date. We advise you to be particularly vigilant with the most sensitive products such as meat, fish, dairy products, and egg-based products. However, if you have several products with the same batch number/use-by date (e.g., yogurt, hamburger patties, portioned products), you are not required to record each label. You can record only one label per product. The important thing is to be able to find the information.
Where are my traceability photos stored?
Your traceability photos, like all information recorded in the Octopus HACCP app, are stored on our secure servers in France. Photos are automatically transferred from your app to our servers. They are not stored on your smartphone or HACCP tablet, so they don’t take up space on your devices and are kept safe if your devices are lost or broken. In short, it’s simple: your data is secure!
How long are my traceability photos stored?
We keep your traceability labels on our servers for five years. This means that in the event of a health inspection, you can easily find them by searching by date or product name. It’s simple and secure!
Can I print other types of labels besides use-by date labels with my printer?
Yes, there are various label templates available. You can print labels for your hot or cold meals, or for self-service sales.
Can I track my short-life products with Octopus HACCP?
You can easily track products reaching their expiry date for all products with a secondary use-by date. Octopus HACCP gives you a clear overview of expiry dates.
Is it possible to report non-compliance with Octopus HACCP during an inspection upon receipt?
If you notice a non-compliance during your inspection upon receipt, you can report it directly in the application, thereby tracking each supplier’s service rate and submitting complaints.
