I don't have a PMS for my establishments. Can Octopus HACCP replace a PMS?

The Health Control Plan is a regulatory requirement in bakeries. Octopus HACCP allows you to set up the foundations of an HCP for your establishment, integrating all the HACCP records you need to complete, procedures to ensure traceability, the cold chain, the cleaning plan, etc., as well as the document base for adding any additional documents required to complete a comprehensive health control plan. This means you can rest easy in the event of a hygiene inspection! Everything is on your tablet or smartphone.

I want to be sure I'm in good shape in case of a health inspection. What HACCP records do I need to keep in my bakery?

The essential checks to be carried out include: checking goods on receipt, traceability, labeling your preparations and unpackaged products, checking the temperature of your cold rooms, and monitoring the cleaning and disinfection plan. The good news is that Octopus HACCP has a solution for each of these checks (and more), and our project managers are on hand to explain everything to you. Can my employees use Octopus HACCP on their mobile devices?

Yes, of course! For added convenience, Octopus HACCP can be downloaded onto your employees’ mobile devices, whether you have two or 20 people working in your bakery! Your entire team has access to the same app, and HACCP reports are centralized. The app is available for free download from the Android and Apple app stores.

How long are my HACCP records kept?

We store all your HACCP records for five years on our secure servers. The data is not stored on your mobile phone or tablet and can be accessed from any computer, smartphone, or tablet. In the event of a health inspection, you can easily access your HACCP records to present them to the inspector. It’s simple and secure!

Does Octopus HACCP offer temperature sensors for my cold rooms?

Yes, of course! If you want to equip your cold rooms or freezers with temperature sensors for added security, you can do so easily with Octopus HACCP. They are linked to your HACCP app, all your temperature readings are centralized, and you receive alerts in case of a problem.
